Think this series has some really excellent paneling. Second only to Sakamoto Days in current Jump. Like the framing of Sojo and Chihiro in this latest chapter was excellent.
1. We see what he does. And from the discussion on the Robot, it stayed at MJ, whereas Kuma left almost immediately. If not for the Knights, who attacked first, we can't even prove he'd have done a single attack.
2. We've gotten no indication of Kuma even being aware of the Ancient robot, but...
Cool, they don't know how to do anything with the Giant Robot though. Not just not reverse engineer it. They can't turn it on and have no clue about the power source.
So why would they just shove Kuma's soul into something they can do nothing with?
I don't believe that Giant robot theory.
1. Kuma wasn't rampaging in MJ, He appeared, got attacked, Ursa Shocked and then ran. That's distinctly different from what was implied with the giant Robot whose goal appeared to explicitly be to attack MJ.
2. Shaka mentions that he can't reverse...
But that's not why Chopper joined. Chopper joined cause he thought it'd be fun to go with luffy. He never even heard luffy's dream during his arc. Luffy does not once mention being king of the pirates during Drum Island.
Chopper wished to join because Luffy said he was a friend to Chopper and...
The last point is no less hindsight reasoning than Logiko's "Usopp's shining nakama moment was n dressrosa", cause before egghead, we'd no way of knowing what Raftel had provided and what we did know of the previous Pirate king is that his doctor couldn't cure him.
Chopper joined two arcs...
Except we know that circumventing the globe isn't needed to reach Laboon, we have several pirates, including Shanks who hasn't reached Raftel that reached places that would lead them back to Laboon.
I already mentioned that Zoro and Usopp's are tangential, but could arrive at their points just...
I'd believe this somewhat if not for the fact that Luffy's dream of becoming the Pirate King doesn't exactly impact Brooke nor Chopper's dreams. Reuniting with Laboon and curing every disease don't, in any meaningful way, tie into becoming the Pirate King. One could argue Zoro and Usopp's dreams...
This doesn't answer my point. I never said Bonney seeing Luffy as Nika. I said bonney seeing luffy as the person that has the strength to liberate everyone.
How is that functionally different from Jinbei believing Luffy has the ability to put Fishman Island under his protection?
So why exactly can't Bonney believe that Luffy has the means and power to liberate the world after seeing him do what no rev has ever done?
Like the framing could easily be the same.
