Zoro wants to be the strongest among all those that wield a sword, not necessarily among all those that call themselves swordsmen.
His first big fight Cabaji was using a lot of acrobatics and silly circus tricks.
Kaku was a giraffe zoan.
Lucci is not Zoro's big fight this arc.
Do you still think Lucci is Zoro's big fight this arc?
Oda not focusing on the fight at all and Zoro not using the bandana makes me think Zoro vs Lucci was just a way to stall him.
I expect Zoro will eventually be truly tested against one of the two big threats this arc.
Now?
:choppawhat:
Zoro was paired with Lucci long before Saturn showed up.
I'm still not convinced Lucci is Zoro's big fight this arc BTW. It would explain why Oda hasn't given any focus to that fight.
Shanks and Roger are going to be surpassed by Zoro though.
Zoro wants to be the strongest among all sword users, not among all people who consider themselves swordsmen. Even King who didn't consider himself a swordsman was a stepping stone for Zoro to grow stronger.
Luffy using a sword and...
We already discussed this extensively in our Discord server.
Saturn's DF too is "Gyuuki Oni", or similar IIRC.
That said, I don't understand why you used "Zorotards" in the title. It's explicitly a disparaging form of address for the Zoro fan base.
Are you trying to claim that Saturn is a Spandam type?
If you are, that's creditless. If you're not, then this argument is pointless.
Again, Saturn is too big a deal for anyone but Luffy to deal with.
And Saturn himself is interested in Nika.
The Ancient Robot attacked Mariejoa 200 years ago.
Considering that it seems to be waking up now, I'm thinking maybe Saturn witnessed the assault back then and would be able to give us lore on it.
The Gorosei being centuries old and not venturing to the surface in living memory would explain...
Saturn being stronger than Borsalino is not even what I'm claiming.
I'm claiming that Saturn has been presented as the chief commander of the Egghead operation, and being presented as the main antagonist of this arc.
He's way too important to fall to anyone but Luffy.
If Borsalino ends up...
Nope.
Saturn is Borsalino's direct superior, the commander/director of this operation, and he shows up before any of the named Marines are defeated.
Kuma only showed up to the Strawhats at the very end of the arc.
It's so completely different.
Saturn is the Linlin of WCI, not the Kuma of...
This doesn't make sense to me?!?!
If Saturn — the big bad of the arc — it will be by no one's hands but the protagonist's.
I understand claiming Saturn won't fall, but saying that anyone other than Luffy defeats him is implausible.
