Luffy is obviously not defeating Borsalino before we even get the Zoro vs Lucci chapter.
Luffy only beats the arc antagonist after the other Strawhats have finished their battles.
Nah, there are scenes she's drawn as a child that hint at it being her true form.
When she's in the ocean and in Kuma's memories.
In neither case was there a reason for her to transform into a child.
Eh, I'm not going to scale on length. King took 4 KOH attacks to go down, three named and the finisher was a super technique ("King of Hell Three Dragons").
But besides that, the attitude/demeanour is different.
Zoro recognises and respects King's strength, but tells Lucci that with only this...
Don't fully agree here given how very little panel time we've seen of the fight period.
Gear 5 Luffy kinda stomped Lucci, but the fight lasted quite a while.
Even if Zoro stomps, Oda isn't going to conclude the fight in a couple pages.
That said, in a sense a "Zoro vs Lucci" chapter...
That's because he refused to accept Luffy's superiority then. He was denying it.
In the scenario @Monkey D Theories painted, Lucci recognises that Zoro is superior to him in CQC.
And as for in character, it was Lucci that explained S-Hawk running from the fight with Zoro when he realised he...
King's fight went off panel when Zoro activated his powerup and there was an intervening chapter between then and the resumption of the fight.
I don't think off panel fights matter much/are relevant for scaling.
Are we supposed to assume that King took arbitrary many attacks from King of...
Nah, Lucci needs to hang out with King of Hell for around a chapter before he's comparable to King.
And like King has insane offence (mountain sized explosions, destroying part of the island, magma dragons, etc.).
Lucci has neither King's defence nor his offence, so I really don't see how...
@Veku, @Ryuarashi, @MarineHQ, @ZenZu as Lucci fans (or at least defenders), what do you think about the fight taking this turn?
It think it might be in character for Lucci. Especially with what he said about S-Hawk running from the fight to hunt the weaker Strawhats.
If Lucci recognises...
Eh, I'm annoyed at Luffy not having confidence in Zoro has he normally does.
I have no problem with Lucci as an opponent.
He's a strong/decent fight and is IMO comparable to the likes of Katakuri and Marco.
