GHM is the best there but a lot does depend on which version of kyoukai hara wants to give us. Is she a decent sub or the next Kyou?
If Shin and Ten can stall out Gaimou,
Kyoukai makes sure to eliminate ranbihaku
Then you’ve got mouten and Kyoukai at GHM. I don’t think this is enough. Gaimou...
I think the top 5 is fairly clear atm with the possible Kouen exception (moubu, sbs, manu, Renpa, gaimou), but then again looking at the current arc it makes me more confident than Yan are going to have some top tier martial mountain tribesman.
He should have had a bit of decline but the last guidebook showed he clearly has not. Whether you agree with the number Hara gave him, the reality is he has decided to stick with that level up until the latest guidebook, even as those around him changed. Whether his 97 was accurate, generous or...
I definitely think we will see someone new who belongs in there. Still a lot of Generals out there.
plus Shin, Ouhon, kyoukai, kouyoku will rise up more as you said.
yan, chu, qi … all will have big hitters
I also go with that 5, only id put Moubu top. Renpa seemingly has not decreased in age yet either so he stays there.
Moubu
Shibashou
Man’u
Gaimou
Renpa
They both arrived on the scene around 20 years ago and then had their final war around 20 years ago so they mustn’t have had a long run. 5 years seems to go with that?
It feels as if Rakuakan and Hauoukoku only had an active peak of around 5 years as Generals - how long do you think the FDs had from when they were Generals to the civil war? Could a similarity be why the return of the FDs didn’t shake up China, much like how R+H were half forgotten as well?
qi king looks like he has absolute confidence in his monsters.
If qi really will submit to Qin, I hope when the Zhao saga ends, we can have an arc that’s like 20 chaps long and it’s Chu vs Qi. Even if it’s just designed to show us who Chu will have to face qin later. Won’t happen but still...
1k commanders can shape the outcome of the entire battle so I can see that happening (not for them specifically, but anyone of that talent). It was as 1k commanders that they’d gain their first fame, probably contributing to a great play that helped defeat the enemy. Following on from that would...
I assume it was those wars against Renpa and Gokei that meant Han would now insist on the new policy of retreating inwardly rather than risk it all with these two. Haku and Raku repelled, but at what cost?
it’s also worth saying that just cos they started as 1k commanders, that doesn’t mean to say they were in any way on the level yet, lol. Same way 1k shin was one of the main reasons Renpa lost Sanyou. Obviously in time they would have grown to be commanders as relative equals.
Not forgetting...
I don’t think this makes sense. What if Moubu is never burdened by his weight and respect for SHK? Right now, it does not weaken him, so why is manu saying it is holding him back? It isn’t. Manu is implying he is stronger than moubu today, not in future in case anything went wrong
he doesn’t two shot him but obviously he wins.
Nobody can beat Tou with zero difficulty.
I don’t think it was high. Depends what you deem those wounds to be.
Mid diff seems fair. Tou basically dominated him.
In the context of this series, a 75 year old can be a martial threat tbh.
Could well be that he became a general 5-10 years after the first CW at 25 years old for eg.
