    You're still not getting it. The actual attack happens only with 3 swords, he was blocking Kaido with only 3 real swords. Since it's an illusion, it looks like he does it with 9 swords.

    The illusion isn't dealing damage. The attack only happens with his 3 swords, it only looks like he's attacking with 9 swords since it's an illusion
