The entire premise is entertaining in itself. However it's the art and over the top action that sets it apart from typical fighting manga. In fact, I started reading it for the premise and fights, but it has a surprising character heavy element to it too.
Honestly, when Yamato's hybrid was revealed, I was kinda disappointed with how it was presented, but also didn't hate it. At least, I had a better first impression than Kaido's hybrid did(and that grew on me).
Yamato looks a lot better and sharper from different angles. Definitely way better...

Wouldn't it it be interesting if Buddha and Hajun kill eachother? This would reset the board allowing all the listed human fighters to fight and gives the gods a new choice(Hades please)
I seen this the other day and really liked this theory. It's creative and adds an interesting perspective to BB.
As for the strange body argument.
BB eating a mythical octopus fruit, would have had his body permanently altered to fit that specific fruit. You know, that's how DFs work.
After sitting on this chapter, reading both translations.
I'd give it 3/5.
The fire festival content was needed as a Onigashima is creeping there. So we need to get the feeling of 'dread' for the arrival.
CP0 giving us a number update was also needed dialogue, but I figure we'll get another...
