Couple of things to consider 1. I am immune to rust 2. Since I am immune to rust I had no way of knowing what rust even does and therefore didn't know that my role is best applied ASAP 3. Polar was scum or at least knew he was going to be scum fairly soon so if anything me being one of his scum...
