He's an enemy of democracy man, WAKE UP!! Breaking into people's houses to steal cookies?? Organizing against unions by using slave labor?? Santa is evil
Well at least we can be consistent in calling them riots.
Regarding blm protests and riots: Yes there were a lot of riots but there were also plenty of protests that didn't turn violent. Those didn't make news because peace doesn't pull views.
Most domestic violence cases don't make it to court and you can always choose to stay anonymous. Having fear of being attacked in revenge is irrational. I wouldn't risk my life for a random person either but the least I can do is inform the people who can prevent the situation from getting worse.
I don't think you'd really face legal trouble just for reporting an incident. I'm also not going to say that you support violence against women for choosing not to take any action at all but my inner mind would say that you failed your moral obligation, which is something that I believe that a...
It seems that there was miscommunication from the start then. I never equated self preservation with doing absolutely nothing. In these situations, you do what you can even if that means you don't physically get involved.
Not necessarily as you can work in different ways to oppose this kind of oppression without physically risking your own life. You can simply call the cops. You can vote on laws to get harsher punishment for these acts which can act as a deterrent from them happening to begin with. You can create...
Respectfully, I disagree with the whole "silence is violence" notion. In these hypothetical situations, one could be acting in the interest of self preservation as they may not be fully aware of the situation. What if the assailant has a weapon, for example? Would you be willing to give up your...

Being able to make your own decisions as an adult is important which is why I don’t agree with Indian culture generally speaking. Good for her that she wasn’t raised with those ideologies.
There’s a huge divide between Indians who are influenced by the western world and traditional Indians who choose to stay in their own country. That creates a lot of animosity and hostility among them when it’s time for them to return to their country, if they choose to return at all.
That’s heartbreaking. Old school Indians are extremely racist to outsiders too. In my experience, young Indians who move to other places don’t have this world view themselves but they tolerate it from their families because in their culture, parental respect is everything. Extends to the rest of...
I’d ask who disagreed on a perma ban concerning him but I imagine that’s private information. The fact is, he’s back so let’s just hope he doesn’t have another meltdown and I’ll refrain from calling him… a “pure bred”
I used to post here a fair amount before the ban and the thread got moved. Nowadays the big topic is the war in the Middle East and admittedly I’m not too educated about that topic so I tend to stay out of it.
