Well at least we can be consistent in calling them riots. Regarding blm protests and riots: Yes there were a lot of riots but there were also plenty of protests that didn't turn violent. Those didn't make news because peace doesn't pull views.

Most domestic violence cases don't make it to court and you can always choose to stay anonymous. Having fear of being attacked in revenge is irrational. I wouldn't risk my life for a random person either but the least I can do is inform the people who can prevent the situation from getting worse.

It seems that there was miscommunication from the start then. I never equated self preservation with doing absolutely nothing. In these situations, you do what you can even if that means you don't physically get involved.

Tbh, I’m not quite sure where I fall on the political spectrum. I tend to side with the right when it comes to economical issues while I mostly side with the left when it comes to social subjects. There are exceptions to both but generally that’s how it shakes down for me.

There’s a huge divide between Indians who are influenced by the western world and traditional Indians who choose to stay in their own country. That creates a lot of animosity and hostility among them when it’s time for them to return to their country, if they choose to return at all.
