My thoughts exactly. I think it makes sense though. If RKK is kicking the bucket here it would seem reasonable for him to take out one of Tou's generals. Kanou seems like the most dispensable.
Yes. I think HKK is much closer to the Renpa/Gyou'un equation than most people think. The difference between his and Yoko's blows isn't that big. He also sent Shin flying multiple times.
I'd say a bit higher though. Rinko is strong but he probably doesn't hold a candle to the actual powerhouses...
- Clashed evenly-ish with Shin for 3 chapters before getting killed (not a pure 1v1)
- Han's second general
- Repelled Wei and Zhao's invasions along with RKK 20 years ago
- Specialized in open field combat
- Climbed the ranks of Chu's military, coalition commander
- Killed Doukin
- Defeated...
I feel like just this fight alone considerably elevates this arc. It's easily one of Shin's most satisfying duels.
Everything from the artstyle to the intensity was well executed.
Though it seems like Hara is settling for shorter, more concentrated battles, If he can keep up this quality then...
His death was was brought up multiple times though. Have you completely missed the plotlines of Gaku'ei and Kinmou attempting to avenge his death?
Also, I don't the Keisha was 'the 3rd or 4th strongest' in Zhao, even at the time of his death. There was a fairly large pool of powerful GG-calibre...
This fight alone already elevates the battle considerably. Shin vs HKK is arguably Shin's best post-Gyou fight.
It feels like it’s been so long since Shin had one of those typical intense battles we all love to see.
I think an analysis on HKK's strength would be interesting. Unlike with Yoko Yoko we've not been given a sort of measuring stick.
His physical strength, clashing evenly-ish with Shin and his position as vice-commander are notable feats.
Maybe Rinbukun level? 🤔
Very good chapter. Easily one of the most intense battles from throughout the story.
Glad to see some of the more neglected HSU-members like Denyuu finally get some spotlight as well.
