Sea water completely nullifies ones devil fruit as if they don't even have a power. No reason why the power would still be affective after it's source is taken out.

Since we're talking about hypotheticals, why can't Sanji just move at blinding speeds and carry straw boy to the nearest body of water and throw him in there, affectively making his devil fruit null and void. :smart:
