I honestly expected this thread to be much bigger considering how great this series is. It's also one of the few Seinen that actually has a reasonably decent anime adaptation that (for the most part) does justice to the original source material. They did fuck up the iconic Thorkell scene but...

On a side-note, I hope we get to see Mangoku soon. Obviously he's dead but Hara could give him a cameo or something like he did with Rinko, it would be the perfect opportunity especially considering he also was from Zhao.
I can't be the only one who feels like this chapter was very underwhelming. We've seen all sorts of atrocities in kingdom where Hara highlights how gruesome they were.
Look at these double pages where the people of Rigan were killed or when the Kanki army burned that mountain.
Now compare...
This scene here is a classic set-up for what will eventually come, it would be pretty anti-climactic if Riboku got killed from someone's order from above but it would also diminish Shin's revenge arc.
