Why exactly?
The physical prime of humans is in their 20s.
Just look sports stars - nearly all of them in their 20s.
Heck, take Messi for example: His absolute peak came in his early 20s (2009-2013) and that peak is still considered the best that football/soccer has ever seen by quite some...
Just to clear things up:
Oda actually really brought it up during the WCI arc, that somehow Germa were the ones threatening Baratie and not BM (when Reiju talked to Sanji and explained this to him).
Yep, it's definitely inconsistent writing, but it's there in the story.
Yamato.
Not even a competition imho.
She was clearly a character Oda pulled out of his ass in the last minute, she got WAY too much screentime and the whole writing of her character/backstory was a mess that was not only annoying but also didn't make much sense.
Once again: Nonsense.
Let's take episode 270 (Luffy vs Blueno). This aired on 07/03/2006 and adapted one and a half chapters. Those chapters came out on 09/25/2005 and 10/03/2005.
We can go even further back to the start of Water 7, episode 229. This aired on 04/17/2005 and also adapted a bit...
Just to put the pacing of the OP anime into perspective again:
The Wano arc alone has now 167 episodes (started with 890 and now we're at 1057).
That's just utterly stupid and nobody can justify that shit.
The 2011 HxH anime covered way over 300 manga chapters and was made into one of the...
Sorry, Haki is nowhere near the "best powersystem".
It's inconsistent af and actually makes a lot of the original powersystem (DFs) redundant.
If you want to look at the undisputed best powersystem in all of manga, you have to look at Nen from HxH.
Really a no-contest.
I'm going at it from a different perspective: Imho Oda's worst "aspect" is that he takes way too less breaks/hiatuses specifically to think and plan the story.
We saw that the recent output after his longer "4 week planning break" has been noticably better than the stuff he came up with before...
I just hope that one day (lng after the current adaptation is over), we'll get a proper modern OP adaptation (seasons, proper pacing, high budget).
The current anime product is just hot garbage, I'll tell it like it is.
Completely unwatchable for anyone outside of the hardcore OP bubble.
Maybe the brain room above them.
I really think Morj got this one right in his latest video (even if it has nothing to do with York's room).
Somehow we need the world to learn about the true nature of the WG, otherwise the SH's victory over them in the end would have zero meaning. Most of the...
Funniest shit is that Oda is STILL trying to fix that messy Wano ending.
"Any updates on Blackbeard? I thought he would show his face on Wano!"
Nice try, Oda, I'll give you that! He 100% realized that so many fans called him out for that random Shanks Film Red promo cameo...
Ah, I meant Pythagoras of course.
But we didn't see S-Snake shooting Pythagoras. In fact we hear the exact same sound effects as last chapter ("k-tok", "k-tok") of a person aproaching and then a shot happens.
Anyway, it could be S-Snake, too, of course.
I just hope Oda clears up this whole...
One other thing:
Are we sure this is the actual York?
I've re-read the arc and some things need proper clear-up.
When Edison was shot by the traitor York was running around in Usopp's group. How didn't they notice her shooting Edison and then eliminating all the cams?
Not to mention that the...
Saturn really doesn't give up the vibe of a guy that just goes there "to talk".
Especially not how he is presented in that collage with his fierce facial expression and depicted alongside Kizaru &. Co., owning the largest panel of them all.
:kayneshrug:
D- is really generous imho.
It says a lot when you're supposed to be the main villain of the arc and Orochi of all people steals the spotlight in every single villain aspect outside the "individual fighting power" category.
I'm not even sure Kaido counts as a proper villain.
He is just ... something.
A random, strong dude that took a job offer from Orochi and helped keeping up the enslavery of a country.
Besides that he lacks everything a proper villain needs. His own motivations etc. are still very...
Both Wano and WCI started off nicely but then Oda completely butchered the climax.
This isn't even debatable imho.
Both the escape from WCI and the raid on Onigashima were a clusterfuck in terms of pacing, logic and storytelling.
