I think what happened in this chapter implies that Im is getting desperate. There are a couple dozen of people who knew of the true history, Robin is still on the loose, RA is gaining momentum, and his worst nightmare, Joyboy, had returned.

Pretty straighforward chapter. The fight with GB would either end with Momo sending him flying by finally using Boro Breath or Luffy arriving and sending the Admiral flying himself. It's pretty obvious in this chapter that GB is a tamer opponent compared to Kaido.
