He isn't from Wano. How does a native of Wano pirate crew that adopts their captain's style and design come back and have a completely different look compared to native Wano folk? One can tell who is from Wano and who is a member of the Beast Pirate crew lol Hint: they don't look alike...
When the WG failed to acquire BM as a kid, they decided to develop their own artificial version. This was Kaidou. He's an attempt to recreate what dumb luck and natural mutation did with BM - but in a lab and perhaps for mass-production and can be controlled. But he got too strong and they lost...
There's no real limit here. I mean, Speed is basically her toy for life now. These types of powers ( inlcuindg Sugar's) really rub me the wrong way as to their implications. And Oda uses them as plot-device, nothing more. Otherwise they would be too overpowered since they overwrite an...
Eh? Oda didn't really go into the substance of why Izo chose to stay with WB. Even after Oden returned to Wano.
Feels like a story that might get told later on in the arc when Izo ( yes, when- not IF) makes a reappearance against Kaidou.
Interesting. The scanlation on MT is slightly different than the one Bogard posted. Looks like MT has a different source then.
This is good. More than one scanlation version means more than one group or individual stepping in to fill the void left by JB and MS.
someone or a few better be dling teh chapter...that link could get taken down fast. WSJ on the warpath :believe:
Great chapter. Kinda burned out just reading the spoiler thread all about it. Yeah there are little hints here and there, but it may take years for them to bear fruit ( on top of all...
lol just to be serious. Oda splits again the blame for villainy in Wano. Before it was Kaidou and Orochi, now we get a third party. I don't think Orochi was a good guy, but he was clearly incited by that granny. Had he not met her his future life could have been as the head servant of a minor...
My expectations are set to low.
Never mind speculating the what and the how, what abilities and what the outcome is...If it isn't off-paneled then I'm getting drunk as a skunk to celebrate :few:
Compared to the PL mess the spoiler thread descended into, this was a top-notch chapter indeed.
Orochi...yes he's villainous, traitorous, vile, despicable, contemptuous, evil. And his traitor grandfather really started it all. But, that old shaman lady was the one who lit a fire under his arse...
The whole set-up means at the bare minimum, Zoro is cutting Kaidou with Enma. Oda isn't being subtle about that at all. In fact he's bashing our heads with it. Even the idea that Zorro will take Kaidou's head.
But, that won't be the end. All of this is a major red herring. All this emphasis on...
This is the key reason. Katakuri only had it to mimic Luffy and emphasise the 'Mirroring' theme going on. It didn't have any impact or relevance to the story or plot or even add anything to Katakuri himself. I mean, the man spent 40 years under his mother's shadow just being a good mama's boy...
It's like with Kaidou himself. There's so much going on with Wano that we don't get to see much of the Beast Pirates or their Captain - yet. Meanwhile we have flashbacks starring Yonkous, WB, Roger; the Reverie and its aftermath and the whole story and tragedy of Wano to get through. On top of...
This was a wholesome chapter overall.
Oden is an amalgamation of traits from Luffy, Zoro, a bit of Sanji and even Franky. In other words, characters that Oda seems to love. All in one package.
The Wano flashbacks have also helped to fix what was always a bit of an oversight or error on Oda's...
Take away Haki and even Buggy wouldn't be phased by that slash. Other than Buggy, Logias, certain Paramecias like Katakuri and who knows what else.
Other than DF's you'd have Homies and perhaps there are beasts and creatures out there with Wolverine-level regeneration or are very hard to kill...
yeah I'm a fan. The manga is awesome. Needed a while before getting used to the art style but when the Shonen MC said what he did...I was sold. In all my years reading shonen I had never encountered what appearedto be your typical bratty shonen teen MC go full on serious. Beautiful.
Nope. Fell out of love with Bleach years/long before this whole thing was revealed. However I suspected as such since Kubo can be kinda pretentious and artsy fartsy, while Oda is a bit salt of the earth. I mean just a cursory comparison between Bleach and One Piece gives somewhat of an insight...
