It's probably intended, but I don't see Gojo winning against Sukuna... A common rule of a Shonen manga is that the Sensei cannot win against the main villain, he might handicap Sukuna but in that case if Yuji later wins against him it won't feel like an actual win. Idk what Gege has in his mind...
