My opinion is that if you expected full onscreen fights in a chaotic free for all setting on a flashback right before the climax of an arc, you simply played yourself.
:kata:
Sanji had fight against S-Shark.
How did that turn out in the anime?
:kobeha:
It's simply easier not to care and wait for a future remake with no fillers. :)
I love using the HxH versions to illustrate how they "save" animation with the scenes.
ESPECIALLY take a look into the parts where Killua tries to escape from Phinks. How in the old anime, it was more fluid, with no "static shoots" of Killua thinking to himself after every single move in order...
Because people are biased morons.
Egghead didnt improve the animation at all.
It's still extremely ugly as fuck sloppy pyrotechniques to mimic the Kimetsu sequences.
The environment looks like a Street Fighter Training Stage.
:kobeha:
Companies tried too hard to push for cheaper animations on...
And it's not even like Zoro can't be "fast".
Zoro has a lot of short sprint attacks, like shishi sonson, etc.
But this is a easy way to "delete" zoro from the scene and replace him with some weird ass light that is easier to animate instead.

APRENDE, ESTRAGOS UNIDOS!
CONDENADO E VAI MORRER VOMITANDO FEZES.

You would be surprised about Batman.....
:kobeha:
This "darker" thing exploded with the 90s animated series, which had a very noir aesthetic to it.
Just look at Adam West's batman, or the Tim Burton movies.
:Egg_Peak:
It came out the same year as the Injustice game.
So this "darker" theming was the tits back then, especially after the success of Nolan Batman's trilogy.
:kayneshrug:
There's a big difference between making superman "humane" and making him "depressed".
This isn't bojack horseman.
Also, it's the INTRO movie for the character.
Any regular superman story has these things. Including the most comically stupid ones like "Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrow?"...
