Again, this goes back to the Benn vs Yassop question. We know Benns primary weapon is a gun and so is Yassops, but we also know that Yassop is the superior marksmen. Benn is probably very skilled with a gun as well, doesn't change the fact he is obviously less skilled. But in a fight we also...
Not you specifically. There are people who genuinely don't think it's Gaban because they have their own theories about where the arc is headed. I'm talking about those who are slandering Gaban or denying it's him or even the possibility of it being him because of a anti-Sanji agenda.
When you're so sure your favorite character and his parallels are so far above another's, you don't react like this. Gaban is not a threat to anyone but the ones who thought that the left hand of The Pirate King is somehow a nobody.

Imu is written like the final villain, the ultimate nemesis of Joyboy. So Luffy's final fight will be against him, meaning Zoro and Sanji's last enemies will be Goroseis. It seems pretty obvious at this point.
He won't even get a scene as iconic or "cool" as the one between Shanks and the mountain bandits in chapter 1. This guy is going to act like the Gorosei but have Shanks's face. Oda will only use him to prop up the image of Shanks.
