It being a myth is merely your assumption.
And no, I am not saying that radicality = violence, but that there is a positive correlation. More radical ideas are, more restructuring of society is necessary to implement them. And that leads to violence - not always, but in at least 90% of cases.
I agree that bounties cannot be used for outright powerscaling.
There is still some logic to it, though.
Shanks has the lowest bounty among the OG group because he is the youngest and wasn't really all that of an active threat. Guy is a party monster, not a monster monster like Blackbeard...
I think Oda is trying to "repair" admirals' reputation here. I mean, first we have Kuzan fighting against Garp, and now Kizaru.
Whatever happens, it is not going to be easy for Straw Hats, and I can honestly see them losing here (though I don't consider it likely), because... quite frankly, I...
As I said:
Sure, they have done everything you have noted, but Luffy hasn't had that much direct interaction with them. And this is Luffy's story... compare to say D.Gray Man where Millenium Earl interacts with the main character directly from the get-go.
Right now, I'd place the Gorosei more...
Looking at this panel:
What do you think Gorosei devil fruits are?
To me, it looks like horned form up there may be a minotaur. Another is a form of a bird, likely another Mythical Zoan similar to Marco's Phoenix, but "darker". And in the far right, could that be a warthog (Mythical Zoan...
Reason why some people (I'm still on the fence, personally) refuse to accept them as the ultimate endgame villains is because they haven't had much story presence so far.
I mean, look at what Blackbeard had done:
1) Directly responsible for death of Ace
2) Caused the Marineford war which led to...
Canonically? He is still being held by the Noahs. Also, he is not the new Bookman since IIRC Bookman is still alive - and is now in the mansion. But he probably knows something about the "hidden side"... I'm fairly certain Bookman himself does.
I think "clown" is meant to represent freedom and joy, which is pretty much what "Joyboy" - that is, Luffy - is supposed to be.
Funny, considering in D.Gray Man "clown" represents suppression of one's own self, lies and self-imprisonment.
My point is, that is never going to happen. You remove one type of tribalism, another type will just crop up.
Unless we all get turned into Borg, which is far worse than any other alternative.
That however might also be for the purpose of hiding what Imu's actual power is. So we can't really tell. But it is entirely possible the God's Knights might turn out a bigger threat than Imu himself.
Eh, you get that with any community. Tribalism is just natural, and we get its expressions with things as silly as "who wears Nike vs who wears Adidas" in primary school...
That is actually the point I was making. Lions care about other members of their pride, chimpanzees care about other members of their troop, and even ants about other members of their colony. But anybody outside said groups? They don't give a fly.
Excellent post. Reminded me of this video I had watched before, have you seen it?
That is the reason why Whitebeard said that Blackbeard is "not the man Roger was waiting on". Blackbeard is strong, but the fact that he is a cheater means he simply does not have strong enough will to change the...
