Teach has been FAR more impactful to One Piece story (Ace, Whitebeard, Impel Down etc) than Imu does, to the actual readers. What Imu did is mostly based on past storyline, what Teach did is based on present storyline. Teach >> Imu.

Blackbeard is final villain, there is a reason nowadays people call Blackbeard as FinalVillainbeard. Shiryu > Primebeard > man who tried to measure the distance.

Kuzan's parallel is clearly Shiki. Both have crippled leg, both fought Garp and both are named after colorful animals (Golden Lion / Blue Pheasant).

One mistake @Blazing Lion is making is equating Sanji to Shiryu. EoS Shiryu stomps Sanji low diff. Just like Daz Bones would stomp Alabasta Sanji, Kaku would defeat EL Sanji, Pica would stomp DR Sanji and King would stomp Wano Sanji.
