Don't be happy. This is the way Oda choose for us to accept a future defeat of an important person. It is similar situation with Katakuri. Luffy was saying multiple times that Kata is super strong and there was no way to hit him but at the end he gained Future sight power up and defeat him..:luuh:

Νο because we need some vice admirals strong as next admiral candidates. But imo they are not. Vice admirals like Yamakaji , Momonga were negged by Boa. So... imo vice admirals will fight the captains of grand fleet.

It was obvious Oda wanted him to be an important character from the start of the story. Personally I like him but I don't want him Eos equal to monster trio. My bet is that he will be like a top vice admiral just like Kuzan/Borsalino/Akainu were top vice admirals at Roger's era. Monster trio...
