Luffy vs Kizaru is gonna slap! Does Luffy go straight into G5 or start off with Snakeman?
I hope Oda goes forward with a full Zoro vs Lucci fight. Seeing Zoro take him down in under 2 chapters would be awesome.
Not gonna lie, I actually liked the anime's depiction of Gear 5. They could definitely tone it down some on the sound effects after this, but all around I think they did a great job, especially for "Gomu Gomu no Gigante" which I thought came off well. Much better than the last episode.
Bruh if you're gonna do a final battle then dedicate the entire episode to it the right way. This was half-assed. The G5 transformation itself was incredible, the music and the drums were on point, but you could barely see the toon attacks. There was way too much going on and everything just...
Im not the biggest Luffy fan but come on. G5 is a broken ability that is strong enough to curb stomp any of the Admirals 1v1. Luffy’s powers are seriously gonna need to be nerfed eventually. Akainu’s strongest magma attack can’t be that much stronger than Kaido’s volcanic dragon form where he...
Its so funny how you guys make thread titles that come off like you're absolutely certain that something will go this or that way when its just an opinion. I thought you had some kind of real proof.
Future rival of the PK? That sounds like some shit writing to me.
Coby shouldn't have anywhere near that kind of level of importance in the OP world. He sucks. I hate when Oda creates these whiny characters. He's on the same bottom tier level as Usopp or Otama to me.
BIG asspull from Coby, but at the same time he needed some kind of feat, and this is acceptable. I don't really care for the whole young marine storyline, was never a fan of Coby personally. And for some reason Garp just bores me, I wonder if Oda kills him off against Kuzan and co. Probably not...
It was one of the best intros/entrances I have ever seen in any manga/anime. On the level of Shanks at Marineford or Kurosaki Ichigo after Dangai training. Then no follow up to that at all, like it was scrapped all together. Oda had plenty of panel time to use for Kaido given Wano's length, but...
Right. Just a bunch of garbage gag material. I don't know how anyone enjoys that shit. Then you also had Otama, Kanjuro coming back 10 times, and a fight like Raizo vs the top ninja guy lasting until Wano's endgame. Oda purposely made Wano bad.
Its crazy to me that Kaido "wanting to die" was...
He's definitely strong AF. Those expectations were met.
From a character standpoint I'd give him a D+. ALOT of fake character hype. A whole Yonko and we know almost nothing about him.
BM had multiple chapters dedicated to her backstory, Kaido gets nothing. But we got plenty of Oden-wanking!
I also have high hopes for Lafitte. He gives off all the vibes of a strong “almost impossible to beat by non-Yonko” character. I don’t really like BB’s crew they seem like they’re all fodder other than Kuzan, Lafitte (who’s power still remains to be seen) and maybe Shiryu. Going down to Garp...
Pretty much this. It depends on how the arc is going. I think the Egghead arc is the best arc since Marineford personally, assuming that we are considering all of the world building and everything that's happened outside of Egghead to be a part of the same arc. So yeah I'm not "excited" but I do...
