This chapter confirmed one thing for me. Luffy will end up with a halo just like Imu and Zaza - and probably every other god. And i really love how Oda came up with it - the "smoke of awakening" (that Luffy currently have in Gear 5)- it's just a transitional state where the halo hasn't fully...

I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that the sword's materialization "killed" small area of the forest - so i'm assuming that if this blade drains life by its very presence, then being injured by it will have much more dire consequences. (than just a wound (however serious it may be)...
