If Battle Angel Alita can get a positively received live action adaptation then I really don't see why a Claymore live action adaptation is incapable of being successful.

To be fair, successfully adapting a more moderately known manga like Claymore could result in a sleeper hit. It's a Western medieval fantasy setting where most of the characters are pretty easy to successfully portray design wise. Heavy CGI and special effects won't be needed until later...
