Yeah, this scene gave it away. Why is checking for poison protocol for an Elder if they're immortal? It wouldn't surprise me if they can only turn to Yokai with the magic circle. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it not weird that the Elder who specializes in poison has to watch out for poison?
