Yep. Kidds character ended up getting shafted because of this. oda will always pander to fan favorites. He saw the fangirls thought Law was hot and decided to spend half of the new world saga focusing on Law while Kidd (who was originally introduced with more importance/hype) showed up once...

Kid is coming back in chapter 1179. Law will either show up at Elbaph towards the end of the arc, or the next time Oda takes a break from the action to show what's going on with the characters outside of Elbaph.

Who actually believes Law won't come back? Firstly, Oda panders to fan faves way too much for that to happen. And secondly, Oda wrote Bepo saving him so he could survive for a reason lmao. He will probably end up allying with SHs again or Cross Guild.
