I would think the technique for storing it, should prevent that. I've always said, this is also how Poneglyphs were made to be indestructible. The stones were carved, and then hardened via CoA. It all makes perfect sense.

I'd assume that would have to be at the users whim. Emet can release the stored Haki, because it is sentient, but a sword isn't, so if the haki is getting stored, it remains that way until the user decides to release it.

And not only that, but now we've learned that there is a technique that can be utilized to actually store your Haki inside of an object. Couple CoA mastery, with this technique, and we have our answer as to how a blade can be turned permanently black.

Water doesn't nullify devil fruit powers, it just weakens a devil fruit user. Only Blackbeard can actually nullify a Devil Fruit ability. Luffy can still stretch while being fully submerged in water. Aokiji can freeze the sea for miles. Oven can boil the sea. Etc. etc...
