i'm 50/50 on this chapter. kaido deserves better than this speedrun patchwork flashback. i thought kaido was drafted into the marines for being an oni, but it ended up being something generic like "you're too much trouble for us to handle so... bye", didn't oda play a similar card with big...

sounds like kaido was really protecting yamato by imprisoning here in onigashima. i had a feeling about that. the oni and lunarian races are very interesting.

zoro was treated good enough imo. i agree with 1 and 2. i really can't shake away the feeling that oda dropped a sizeable chunk of zoro's plot lines in wano.

bro whitebeard was a true chad. he actually died after saying the truth, while roger died a fraud. Loger: it's yours if you can find it. Chadbeard (looking at luffy): someone (a male) (not teach) will inherit roger's will, find the one piece, and change the world.

whitebeard literally stated that the chosen one (who is not blackbeard) will get the one piece and will bring great change to the world. the chosen one can do nothing without the one piece.

roger couldn't finish his task. only joyboy can have the one piece. roger on the day of his execution talked about the one piece as something that belongs to him, but in reality it never was. "my treasure, it's there where i left it, it's yours if you can find it..." a lie.
