Early days and till it is somewhat confirmed by the VIZ fans but still, we finally get a glimmer as to why the Calamities and Tobi Roppo could be loyal to Kaidou. Before this it seemed that being under anyone else ( any other Yonkou) would be preferable since staying with Kaidou leaves one...
The sentiment is understandable and even excusable. But this is on par with WCI pre- portrait break Tea Party for me. Whereby Katakuri was running around like a headless chicken unable to stop the inevitable. And really, Oda originally never planned Katakuri the way he did, as some sort of...
It's not that he cried. Anyone can get overly emotional, even over the most trivial of things. But that he revealed it just before said chapter would come out, or even two weeks away. Makes me think it has nothing to do with someone dying. We just had an apparent beheading last chapter. Sort of...
I'm no fan of Zoro and think he's an Oda indulgence tbh, but even i think it's going to be him that takes down King in the end. But more or less after a group effort.
It's obvious really. Zoro is the Ryuma of One Piece. Ryuma ( in Monster) was actually 'King' whom he was seeking to defeat. Zoro...
Orochi dying for real now means the focus is no longer about killing him in revenge, but is about saving Wano and the world.
Always felt Oda would have a hard time showing his good guys going to murder someone and actually succeed. Even if it was done to avenge someone. It's not like Law...
Yamato's horns are similar in shape with Black Maria's. Also the colour shading is near identical. Don't really think Black Maria is Yamato's mother but there is certainly some kind of relation there. Perhaps they are the same race or maybe, Black Maria is her aunt or some distant female relative.
It's a good way to bring in Smoothie. That is, if Oda really does intend to show more with her rather than leave things as they are now. Smoothie vs Yamato feels more possible than say, Smoothie vs Zoro or King or anyone else. Tow gorgeous powerful women trying to beat the crap out of each other.
That's not all they're doing. People (most likely other Koreans) have been reporting the Korean spoiler provider to the Korean authorities. Why would he risk his freedom for a bunch of whiny, entitled complainers online who are getting spoilers for free with 0 risk?
It'd be amazingly ballsy if...
absolutely mind-blowing spoilers.
Yamato potentially being a woman. Wowowow. Never thought Oda would go this route. Originally I was iffy on the idea, but now, all for it. Looks like Yamato could be a woman with the heart of a man, being the reverse of Kikku. Her identifying with the male...
First off this was an exceptional chapter. No doubt.
The chapter overall has forced a major re-assessment of the Tobi Roppo in terms of their worth as characters, as well as the Beast Pirates as a whole who, have suffered significant underestimations (other than Kaidou and the Calamities) due...
Not only that, never once has Big Mom even hinted that she wants to return to Elbaf, for whatever reason. Recruit the Giants into her army? then why did she pay Scam Artist Ceaser to try and develop artificial gigantification? it shows she had given up on Elbaf and intended to do the next best...
If this holds true, it's possible that the current low in Japan - Korea relations mean that for a few of the Korean spoiler providers, that small twinge of regret/remorse for doing something illegal is quickly quashed aside in a wave of fervent Korean nationalism
:pepedoffy:
I think the problem here was that very early on, Oda belatedly recognised that the Soul Fruit is too versatile and capable of varied powersets. On top of the powers that have been portrayed Oda could have gone really wild and added things like:
- Strength enhancement = Draw the lifeforce of...
If there is meant to be a betrayal it likely won't happen at Onigashima but afterwards. The initial stages of the plan will always look favourable and tilt towards the protagonists. The BMP are just temporarily put aside so Oda caon concentrate on fleshing out all the Beast Pirates and their...
Exactly. So many ways Oda could have gone about this to make us recognise, despite the clowning, that the BMP are a Yonkou crew worthy of respect. He chose not to do so. But as we saw with BM back at Udon, he also yo-yos between portraying her as a joke while showing how powerful and dangerous...
Yes? and the point is he made them into a joke. He could have done it in other ways while preserving their image as a threat. He didn't. The BMP are relegated to Ceaser Clown, Buggy Pirate level for now. Maybe that will change later when the actual fighting starts, who knows?
