Bro Pinzolo fans were saying when fake spoilers came out that because Sanji can't damage S-Shark with IJ, he can't damage King. Now when it goes the other way, and S-Shark can't damage Sanji Zoli fans go "S-sHaRk TrAsH Ap". Hypocritical hippos.
Yeah but King is a Lunarian, so are the Seraphims. If you can use Sanji vs S-Shark to compare Sanji vs King, and make King look good (like you did with the fake spoilers), then you can use it when Sanji looks good too.
an unexpected power or event saving a seemingly hopeless situation, especially as a contrived plot device in a play or novel.
Just pulling out the definition. What's the unexpected power or event? How is the plot device contrived?
Well that's the thing. We as the audience now know, but the SHs still have to:
1) Defeat the Seraphim.
2) Find out where the secret lab even is.
Even then, just because we now know York is the traitor, it's not obvious to me why you think it's so trivial for the situation to be resolved.
Yes, it's usually associated with something that saves the day out of nowhere. Like Batman's utility belt having something unexpected that will save him from any situation. Or Iron Man stopping an atomic bomb last minute. An ex machina =/= just i don't like the story aspect. It's something that...
It doesn't resolve anything. The traitor will still be at large, and Stella will still be imprisoned. The only thing resolved is their identity, which is not an ex machina.
