Funnily enough the Djinn transformation did help out Luffy. The Stigma flame attached itself to his beard which obviously disappeared when he went back to normal. The attack auto locked on a target that wasn't there anymore.

Are you for real??? Imu is bloodied, huffing and koffing immediately after taking Loki's attack and is drawn showing clear signs of wear across 3 straight chapters. How was Luffy's punch more impressive when Imu is looking like this 3 panels later?
