I personally like the way Imu is portrayed. Not as an invincible Gary Stu but a guy who, with all of his might, still has weaknesses and insecurities. It's more relatable and realistic.
I think it is not as bad as with Naruto. Imu still falls within the established framework. Ancient guy due to immortality, but his power is still based on a Devil Fruit, he is introduced with an apparent weakness spilling blood upon arrival, being tormented by Joyboy and Davy Jones' incarnations...
The title doesn't say the creator, it says creator. Hence, it is accompanied by the "one of the first twenty". Unless he was the one to come up with the idea of the WG and the other 19 kings joined, which is also a possibility. I just wonder how Imu became the king of the world. By simply...

Does Dragon even have a fanbase tho? If so, they certainly aren't nearly as religious. And at least Dragon secured a seat at the double spread along with Mihawk's captain, Buggy the jester.
I think it's reasonable to say that Shanks wanted Loki to slow down so he and Nika can join forces. After all he wasn't surprised seeing Luffy's awakened form. The fact Shanks specifically attacked a government ship, stole the Nika fruit and put it within Luffy's reach makes Shanks into the guy...
Akainu needs to have paper work done by 8pm so he is occupied. Kizaru still pretends to be exhausted to grieve over Vegapunk. Fujitora is busy freeing slaves ans stalling Greenbull.
