Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

No kid didn’t lower himself under Luffy, he decided to fight the other yonko. It’s not like he went down and fought Jack. Kids better dead than a cheerleader.

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

You mean wano and Sabaody when he fought opponents that were Allie’s with luffys opponent? Kid lowering himself to being luffys subordinate is the literal worse thing oda could do to him. Why do you even want that?
  3. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

So basically you think kids ultimate role in this story is to fight subordinate of Luffys opponents. Yeah he’s better off dead
  4. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

And what does that mean? What will he do as an ally. It’s a simple question
  5. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

And what will that accomplish? What do you think his role is? Cause currently other than watching someone else accomplish his dream he’s completely pointless in the remaining plot.
  6. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Genuinely, what does kid add being alive? Where does his character intertwine with Luffys remaining plot??
  7. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Because one drank explosives and destroyed their interior organs and the other had their Will broken because their best friend for decades was forced to suffer a death that went against their religion because of the intervention. Not exactly anything you can scale them from
  8. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Giants aren’t weak. They’re literally called the strongest country in the world.
  9. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Shanks isn’t the type to kill, but the giants who kid aimed a gun at are. It’s literally the same thing that happened in chapter one. Someone pointed a gun at shanks friends unprepared and got killed. Urouge? Where is he. And Bonneys only playing a role because of Kuma and the revs. Kid...

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

This is significantly different tho. Because in wano, Kid was imprisoned cause Kaido wanted to break his spirit. Shanks just down right intended to defeat shanks and the giants intended on killing him.
  11. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

I don’t see the point of kids return. And yeah I think kids entire purpose was to show that you need more than Will to survive the new world. Law actually has a story line. Kid doesn’t.
  12. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Oda hasn’t shown to care about kid and law returning is fine. He literally escaped at the end of his fight. Kid literally got “exterminated” according to the narrator.
  13. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

“Only the strong can last in these seas.” kid ain’t coming back
  14. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Or kids just genuinely defeated and out of the story
  15. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Shanks did let them live. The giants are the ones who put them in the sea because the Kid pirates attacked their home. Literally their death is because of their own actions. Trying to say they can attack retreating fodder and attack the strongest country in the new world and an emperor known for...

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Bartolomeo is also luffys friend, also a villain who immolated people for fun. Kid may have been an ally, but he was put down by Luffys mentor. A man who’s constantly pushed down our throat of his goodness and his strength. And you think odas going to sacrifice Shanks’ W?
  17. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

And he crucifies people for fun. Don’t consider the lesser of two evils to be good. His final moment in the manga was literally him being portrayed as a villain attacking weaklings mid retreat. There’s literally no use of Yonko EOS. The yonko system literally won’t exist.
  18. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

Blackbeard also values Freedom but he’s still a villain. Kid can value freedom all he wants; however, hes still a villain who was killing people who were retreating and was defeated by a heroic figure in shanks
  19. Sir Yasheen

Powers & Abilities Kid losing to Shanks is an integral part of his growth as a conqueror

They were literally retreating as Shanks ordered and Kid was going to shoot. Don’t try and make him some “true pirate” Kid was literally introduced as a menace who kills anyone who laughs at him which is a dead opposite to Shanks’ philosophy which is why his loss here was fitting. Hell kids...
