Pretty much. Yes Oda taught us power gaps are easily overcomable for the new gen but the gap separating Kidd and Law is almost unlimited to be even remotely closed this one arc.

I actually hope they will join the fight and see what they will pull off against Hybrid Kaido. Kidd might be sent to the next arc with a year of anticipation the very moment that freak catches him.

I feel like the Grandmaster will help Luffy considerably in that he won't be able to hold Hybrid Kaido by himself and no other nova will be capable of supporting the MC, if not GK won't succeed once again, I can clearly see this.

And ironic how Zoro is by far the most indicated character to destroy Orochi. And surely he won't avenge Oden by stopping at there mere pot triggerer.

Also it makes no sense to believe GK is going to be a thing in this arc. Oda is not so repetitive and bland. Law will probably never engage Kaido or minimally at best, considering the power difference in Base.

Don't think that's possible since Kaido is going down this arc. Maybe he was referring to a suppressed version of Shirohige.
