What was the last movie you watched?

Just watched Bronson for the second time (and the first since I reached the point of “getting” Nicholas Winding Refn’s work instead of merely observing it), Tom Hardy’s performance is truly remarkable - at turns jovial, terrifying, pitiful, unhinged, goofy, and physically intimidating...

What was the last movie you watched?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Brian Tyree Henry (Paper Boi from the show Atlanta) are each the kind of performer who instantly elevates everything they appear in, I’m a huge fan of both guys and felt the exact same way about a spin-off of just them when I watched Bullet Train

What was the last movie you watched?

I saw this with my mother when she visited for the holidays, was prepared to find it boring but ended up being impressed by how openly Spielberg portrayed what had to be the toughest moments in his life :perocry:

What was the last movie you watched?

Just watched Everybody Wants Some!! for the first time, I’m not always a fan of Linklater’s navel gazing but this is a solid portrayal of (what I think) was the last period of American history before everything went absolutely insane. I’m also a sucker for stories about college baseball players...

What was the last movie you watched?

I didn’t care for it, but I’m glad you found something new to enjoy

What was the last movie you watched?

I have texted several friends I no longer want in my life and told them to watch this movie, just to make sure they REEEEEALLY get the message :chirstsad::christunate::jordamas:

What was the last movie you watched?

Banshees of Inisherin immediately became one of my all-time favorites after the first viewing a few weeks ago, and I’ve already watched it twice more since then…absolutely fascinating, mesmerizing, infuriating, and masterfully crafted, I hope Colin Farrell/Brendan Gleeson/Martin McDonagh make...

What was the last movie you watched?

Sorry To Bother You…10/10, but holy shit, there is NO chance you’ll see the ending coming :usoprice:

What was the last movie you watched?

Finally watched Parasite, and holy shit...I heard it was good, but it was even better than I expected. 10/10, easy.

What was the last movie you watched?

Let’s not forget my man Sam Rockwell, though...maybe the best racist he’s played in the last five years :myman: Someone tweeted the last scene free of context before I watched the movie, and it made me cringe a little...but in the framework of the movie, it was fuckin’ adorable. Could not...

    Great minds, etc.

What was the last movie you watched?

I don’t think I even saw the last part of the movie, I just remember bailing after she popped out from underneath the comforter when the chick was in bed :noo:

What was the last movie you watched?

This is, for reasons beyond my understanding, the only movie that’s ever truly scared the living shit out of me. The only time I ever slept with the lights on in my room was after watching it, and when my friends have suggested watching it at various parties and sleepovers, I always shot it down...

What was the last movie you watched?

Have A Good Trip on Netflix - even if you’ve never tried psychedelics, this is a fascinating and entertaining in-depth account of what it’s like to trip balls. 9/10

What was the last movie you watched?

300th post on this thread, so I’m also recommending the movie 300...endlessly quotable (I still scream THIS IS SPARTA at wildly inappropriate times), great fight scenes, and more man meat than you can shake a flaccid dick at. 8/10

What was the last movie you watched?

Speed Racer, the one the Wachowskis made in 2008. So many people shit on this movie, but the plot is fun enough to stay plugged in, the acting is delightfully and intentionally camp, and it may have the most lavishly colorful visuals of any movie I’ve ever seen. 9/10, I will always defend this...

What was the last movie you watched?

I’d say IB is the only one of his movies in the period you indicated that doesn’t suffer from that issue, but it IS an issue nonetheless...the scenes in the underground bar and the aside for Stiglitz’s backstory stretched way longer than reasonable just for the dramatic tension. Still, when...

What was the last movie you watched?

One of my favorite movies of all time, definitely my favorite Tarantino flick (which is no small feat considering)...maybe I’m just predisposed to enjoying a film about vigilante American Jews undermining the Third Reich and murdering actual Nazis in a graphic/visceral way :kayneshrug:

What was the last movie you watched?

Trolls World Tour, not by my choice so much as my girlfriend’s...but it was pretty fun, visually pleasing, and the songs weren’t half bad. 8/10

What was the last movie you watched?

Whoever mentioned Once Upon A Time in Hollywood...finally got around to watching it today, and it is really great, but I think Tarantino’s done much better work. 7.5 out of 10, Pitt and DiCaprio doing the heavy lifting saved it from a worse rating.
