Didn’t even think about that, there is precedent for Sanji to come in after an unexplained absence and start kicking ass. You said it yourself, though; that’s pre-timeskip Sanji AND pre-TS Oda, neither of whom we still have.
There are some very harsh critics on this forum...at least some of those voters are huge Sanji fans who probably aren’t thrilled about the fact that Zoro was shown in the middle of the scrum while their boy is off trying to get his dick wet. If he shows up with a ton of reinforcements and it...
Certainly possible, but I see them more as cowardly opportunists than warriors with wounded pride. Fukurokuju at least has been by Orochi’s side for two decades; if they had that many moral differences, wouldn’t there be a separation at some point?
If we don’t have new members with every single one of those as usernames by the end of the week, this fandom will have failed harder than it has since “Zoro will die in chapter 944” :smithnie:
Especially Pink Kings...if you’re a visitor reading this thread and you’re thinking about joining up...
That’s what I think, Kaido’s the one who carried it out but Orochi’s execution in general is a win for the Oden contingent even if it’s not by their hands. He was never going to be a formidable opponent, so saving him for their revenge wouldn’t have been as satisfying as bringing down Kaido.
Feel like the next chapter or two could see the whole team assemble, and once everybody who’s gonna be in the battle has been shown in a nice double spread, that will herald the end of Act 3. The following act, maybe the longest one, will concern the raid itself before ending in Kaido’s defeat...
Reading the official translation makes me more certain than I’ve been the last few weeks that Orochi is really dead (the jury’s still out for me on Kanjuro). The way Fukurokuju reacted to his death in 985 combined with his immediate acquiescence to Kaido’s command aren’t things he would do if he...
Seems likelier than anything else...I just don’t see a single redeeming aspect of this cover story, it’s almost impossible to follow and isn’t entertaining even when you can tell what’s going on. I didn’t care for ones like Gedatsu’s hot springs and Ace with the milk maid, and I had trouble...
Shit, Bee!! You know, you just KNOW that Pez is gonna start crying as they sail away, they’ll figure out it’s because he “recognizes” Pound from that one sighting in WCI, and only then will they believe him...I swear that’s how the next installment is gonna go, you can fuckin’ quote me on that...
Have to wonder if this is really it for the Kurozumis...I know, Oda and his patented breath of life, but can this really be the end of two surprisingly effective antagonists? Has their revenge against the Kozuki clan really fallen short right at the end? I won’t be surprised if either shows up...
I think she only did after he said something about Lola, but I remember a panel of her mentally comparing the two and seeing it in her mind’s eye. Then again, Nami is one of the sharper characters in the series, so I’d expect her to be able to tell the familial resemblance.
100 percent (Stannis) agree, man. Even the goofy shit going on in the SHGF cover story made some kind of sense, but this one is all over the map. Remember the Germs Pirates? The new Marines? The rebuilding of Dressrosa? Yeah, neither the fuck do I *or* Oda...
They can’t look at his face that’s largely identical to theirs and see the resemblance?? Bege and his entire crew, objective outsiders, couldn’t tell there’s a biological connection?? They’re just being shitty, seemingly for no reason...
Haven’t read the chapter just yet, but I definitely raged over this in the spoiler thread...you meet your father for the first time AFTER HE SURVIVED AN ATTEMPTED BEHEADING BY YOUR HALF BROTHER and you just totally fuckin’ ice him?? Where the hell is Oda going with this shit??
