When you start to realize how relatively litte Wano alone accomplishes from a 400+ chapter storyline (compared to what is left), you realize how moot these claims and comments are about "progress" in the series.
At best, 2 Yonko fall, but they aren't even the most important Yonko, let alone...
Anyone partial to the 1325 theory? I kind of like it now. It'd mean 338 chapters left, which I feel is more than enough time to address everything in 4-5 arcs post-Wano, big and small. It also equates to roughly 33 or 34 volumes left, which would mean the series could end on exactly 130 volumes...
^^ Now 4 years.
250 Chapters/38 chapters per year = 6.5 years

The closer we get to that number the more people will realize that lol.
You can read all of my responses (and many others) in this thread to find out that finishing in 5 years is nigh impossible with Oda's normal pacing and where the strawhats are geographically. You practically have to expect him to rush post Wano, which isn't even ending at least for another year...
Well its not legit otherwise it would have been bigger news

Honestly I dig it, but for Oda, to have that thought since the 430's seems off to me. That would be some insane planning tbh.
But its around where I expect the manga to end anyway (1300-1400). Some estimates like 1500 are...
Imo, regardless of what happens to Big Mom, Kaido, Rocks, whatever in Wano or the next few arcs:
- The SSG/New Pacifista's/Kuma/Vegapunk.
- Loki/Big Mom (if she doesn't fall here)/ something Rocks related if left unresolved by Wano
- Akainu and his Admirals
- Blackbeard and his crew/Im, the...
Just to kind of add to this conversation:
編 or Hen, can mean "Arc", "Saga" or "Storyline". The Japanese interchange it a lot.
Just to mention:
- Chapters 1-597 were called the "Sea of Survival: The Super Rookies Saga" while 598-present is the "Final Sea: New World Saga".
They represent...
Which about adds up to mid-1000s in terms of the arc possibly ending. Knowing Oda, I can see Act 3 lasting another 10 chapters and Act 4 lasting 40-50 on its own, but its all personal estimates right now. We just don't know how long or dragged out the main battles will be.
And thats even with...
I'm under the thought still that Luffy will probably die at the end. No will, no heir. A blip in the universe. In 2 years, he conquers the seas, then is gone. There are hefty death flags on his character and giving up his life for what he believes in.

Everywhere, and nowhere...
If only it were that perfect:/ I personally see it ending near that but probably getting past that on the account of Oda's wonderful pacing lol. He can't help himself and I don't expect him to get any better with more important characters and plotlines. I expect him to spend more time on those...
And even on a grander scale, while Zo was the "beginning" of the Yonko Saga, it technically started back when the timeskip started.
- While FI was pretty isolated for an arc, it directly tied to the Reverie, Jinbe and Big Mom.
- Punk Hazard and Dressrosa both set up Smile, and while central...
After Wano ends*
and then it might last a few more years longer because authors usually can't put an exact chapter number on arc length*
Its also going to be the biggest arc in the series by far*
It also requires a ton of setup still to begin*:funky:
I think one thing that is important is this, Captain_M (moderately known on APForums) on reddit said this:
Its the nature of using the word "Arc" vs. "Saga". The difference, unless spelled out in Katakana, is not really specified. So its very likely the word is interchangeable here (Haven't...
What is nice is that One Piece already has it all set up as opposed to other manga (Bleach/Naruto) which have shoehorned their final arc plots as entirely new material. But so far, even if its the "end", one piece has to serve a gargantuan amount of plotwork to service the story:
- Blackbeard...
People bring up Vegapunk because Kuma/Bonney (and subsequently, Sabo and the Revo's) are highly central to Vegapunk as a whole. Not to mention, hes the most elusive character in the series and deemed to answer a ton of questions about OPs world. Oda has already teased Luffy meeting Vegapunk in...
It's a marketing tactic. The manga is 23 years old and is "declining" in sales (relative to most other manga it still trumps 99% of them), they simply want to increase views/generate hype for Wano's 2nd half and the remaining story.
Mark my words, they don't mean "final arc" as in another arc...
Too short. Wano easily has another 50 chapters and then that leaves literally everything else in the series with less than 200 chapters alone, its highly disproportionate.
Anyway, what I think they mean by "arc" here is actually "storyline".
From Fishman Island to Wano, it was considered the...
