Ryuo is an extension of their CoA mastery, it's not just there to hurt sth, Ryuo makes their skillset more versatile as well by sending haki shockwaves or slashes. Hence I do think that Marco and Vista used Ryuo against Akainu - he just dodged it efficiently.

I wouldn't take that statement too literal tho. Sure, I think Kaido's gonna show what he's really capable of in the upcoming chapters (the Scabbards had their best highlights after all) but at least people have stopped admiring Kaido like a demi-god.

It doesn't matter whether they can easily injure them, the obstacle it is to hit them in the first place which won't be an easy task due to their own (haki)defense and other abilities. They are not just standing there to hope a Ryuo user hits them...

Let's not forget Fujitora and Greenbull tho. I'm pretty sure they are absolutely powerful as well. I really want to see them in action.

Yeah, but Big Mom did say that he's "just a lowly son of her", implying that she doesn't view him as an individual to be considered worthy enough to not be addressed as just one of her children. Furthermore, Marco as WB's right hand man should get the edge among all YC1 characters bar Benn.

Marco > Kata/King. She just saw King as a further collection whilst she put Marco as an equal individual to be talked to instead of addressing him as a "kid". And I really think highly of Kata and King, it's just the case that Marco was, once again, separated from them.
