Not being a hypocrite. Zoro's discovery of CoC has been similar to how Luffy discovered his CoC in Marineford arc. He had no idea he even had it or how to use it. Rayleigh had to teach him. Luffy actually has been using advanced forms at will and he's much further along than Zoro is atm.

Zoro survived hakai mainly due to Law’s intervention not because he tanked anything. He was removed before the attack had the chance to hit him. Just being in the vicinity of the attack even for a split second was enough to put him in serious condition for trying to block it. It was a suicidal...

I always said Oda was going to go about it in a different way than what we expect. He was never going to do the momotaro story exactly how it happened. He would change certain things about it. He certainly likes to play with peoples expectations.
