Last point before I go.
Oda showed that Wano is a bad country.
Oda told that Wano is a good country through Wanonese people.
Conclusion: Wanonese are overly patriotic people who are fed propaganda and fail to see their flaws (just like pre WW2 Japan)
One of the best examples of show, not...
Or maybe the majority of people understand the story (by majority, I mean the people who have a family and a career, and not teenagers who spend all day browsing worstgen) and the few vocal rejects on the internet express their hatred to the arc because they didn't understand it.

One Piece established Wano as morally grey than Naruto and Bleach ever did with their country.
I finally get why people here have a hard time understanding morally grey concepts. Oda showed that Wano is bad, but didn't tell it. Kishimoto and Kubo tells that things are morally bad.
Show > Tell...
How do you know it's being done as a joke? You haven't even read the chapter yet.
"because there's no opposing force to suggest to us or the characters that what Hiyori is doing isn't cool"
That's the irony. There are no opposing force in Wano, which IS THE POINT. That is the grim reality of...

Worstgen posters can't fathom the concept of people having flaws. They also can't understand the fact that there are no pure good or pure evil people. They especially can't understand that things aren't black and white. Most things are usually grey.
I don't know about handling "better" but Naruto definitely has an interesting take on it. Fishman Island still beats Naruto in that regard. I am a Big 3 fan btw so don't use "Naruto hater" as a boogeyman.
Like I said, the borders aren't open. It takes time. Things can't be fixed in just a month. Momo will learn how to rule once he matures more.

Actually no. Wano fell to ruin because of Wano's policies.
Wano wasn't only shown to be xenophobic. They were portrayed as racist, uneducated, misguided, weak, cowardice and many other things. Oden was none of these which is why he was heralded as the hero. Wano being a terrible country with terrible people was done on purpose. Wanonese people kept...
What I want people to understand is that underdogs can still have dangerous flaws in their beliefs. People can be oppressed but they can become the oppressor. Oden and Hiyori are different. Oden never discriminated anyone. He even felt pity for Orochi which is why he danced for five years...
