I think that Luffy is better off than the Scabbards since his attacks leave lasting on Kaido. The Scabbards were doing damage, but none of them were lasting and Kaido quickly recovered from it. The only attack that ALMOST left lasting damage was their combined Oden attack.

Yeah Mihawk is an obviously candidate and I think Dragon as well...probably. Its the combination of haki and attack power honestly. The Scabbards had the haki to hurt Kaido but they lacked the AP. Kaido essentially recovered faster than they could hurt him.

I say Roger, WB, Xebec, Oden and Shanks have the haki(AP) to treat him like a normal human. They can hit really hard and leave lasting damage. Everyone else has to play the DPS game.

So about Kaido seeing the silhouettes....it's very difficult to believe Luffy has better haki than BB, Mihawk, Dragon, Garp etc. Its more so that Kaido has a list of people who can legit hurt him and actually did it in an encounter. The Scabbards were cutting the fuck out Kaido, impaled him...

List of feats this chapter: -Kaido almost speed blitzed Luffy with Thunder Bagua -Luffy with FS barely dodges and gets grazed -BM blindsides Luffy with Promotheus but Zoro cuts it in half with Kinemon's tech -Kaido blindsides Luffy but is saved by Law's shambles -BM throws a named Prometheus...

Kaido seemingly wants a grand death against a great opponent and wants to leaves behind a great legacy it seems. Rocks, Roger, WB and even Oden got that.

Its more so the people he's actually encountered and fought. Kaido himself said he hasn't seen BM for decades. No confirmation.

I clearly said portrayal alone kept Roger as one of the strongest for 950+ chapters.... So it's silly to believe Mihawk is not WSS because of feats? There's also no evidence of WB beating any other top tier to gain his title....yet he was still called the strongest and placed on a higher...

What does me being a moderator got to do with this debate? Mods are only allowed to say what you want to hear? You're entire point is saying Mihawk's title is irrelevant. You say no one can say Shanks or Mihawk is stronger than the other when we have something as definitive as Mihawk's title...

It's completely relevant but its all answered below. There is no "as a swordsman." Mihawk is above Shanks period. It didn't matter for any of Zoro's battles so how come it matters for Shanks? Once again, it doesnt matter. Lots of Zoro's opponents had abilities beyond swordsmanship but Zoro...

Portrayal huh? Ironically you're basing this on shown feats and calling it portrayal.... BM got bruised by Franky, blitzed by Brooke, thrown by Jinbe and rolled out a castle by Robin. Also had her attacks stopped by Chopper and couldn't get passed Marco on her own. Big Mom must be MUCH weaker...
