But Zoro isnt after being a grandmaster, he is after being the strongest. And since Shanks has aCoC and it isnt enough to be the strongest, aCoC for Zoro was just a stepping stone. aCoC is rookie stuff, Zoro is going after something way up on the scale, something Shanks doesnt have.

The only thing left for you to figure out is why Great Swordsmaster failed to leave a scar on Kaido while trying twice while a mere Swordmaster or even lesser, since he wasnt swordmaster yet, managed to scar Kaido. Maybe because Zoro was a hakiman this whole time?
