Kaido was never characterized like a character Oda gave a fuck about, like many other characters that exist in the story that have no thought put in backstory/deeper motivations

indeed. One of the biggest issues for Kaido's flashback being too short, it was because most of his stuff was releated with God Valley.

Instead, we got Silver Axe aura and no Kaido flashback...

Kaido was done dirty. "He was a super child soldier from Russia who got sold to the WG," is precisely his entire backstory. Even Hancock got more in Amazon Lily.

I expected no backstory from waido in GV. Stop framing me

I am simply waiting for any combat feats if he gets.

Kaido was always a powerlevel challange for Luffy and just that

Kaido and Big mom are just the least story relevant Yonkos that could fall before entering the Endgame and thats why oda wrote it that way

It wasn't just only them, I saw OP fans on twitter and reddit who were also saying to wait until the Rocks flashback for more of Kaido's backstory.

Kaidos short flashback is much more easily explained by the fact that everything of worth in it is an endgame reveal including Rocks' face and powers.

I agree many thought that. GV was never about Kaido. If oda barely give Kaido much in his own FB why would he focus much on someone else's FB?

Yo this is brutal.

I highly doubt that, considering his irrelevancy and lack of popularity as shown in the polls, Kaido will be highlighted during Xebec's flashback.

I hope we see some of it during rocks FB

Much of his backstory involves Xebec who most likely told him everything. This is the main reason I believe Oda wanted to keep it for Rocks flashback so we're gonna see more of Kaido and why he was depressed. Luffy fans will be in suicide watch if it happens because we've seen how he let himself go when he found Joyboy and never took the fight seriously.

I also think the Oni race were like buccaneers who were nuked by Imu and Kaido was the last few survivor taken by humans who used him as super soldier then chased by WG.
