Rinbukun got some heavy blows in at the end. Tou blocked them all but he definitely looked like Rinbukun’s big blows were at least taking effort to block. Tou wouldn’t get that chance against Kanmei. Kanmei’s big blows are ending the fight.
Tou admitted himself that Rinbukun put up a good fight and was strong in his eyes.
Tou was clearly potrayed as a superior fighter, but also there's nothing suggesting he was playing with his food or that he could end him at any moment. Calling it a mid-diff victory is pretty accurate in my opinion.
It would have been real interesting to get Ouki's perspective on the guy. As a veteran of an entire era of warfare and who fought against all the other states.
But then again, he probably never fought against the big man directly.
