Character Discussion 1 Strawhat Has To Die! Who, What Arc, And Why?

The idea of a strawhat dying has always been loosely brought up, but never taken seriously. Since we are far into the series with a fair amount of nakama and an extensive amount of arcs,

Who would you kil?
When would you kill them?
And why kill them at that time?

It can be a character you hate, but treat it like how you think oda could possibly send them off.

Personally, id choose usopp back in water 7. I'd have him go down stubbornly with the going merry when the storm hits.

This means no sogeking, no burning of the world gov flag, and no spandam sniped moment. But i'd keep his moment where he calls out to luffy to stand up and fight lucci. And it would be a shared moment with both merry and usopp telling the crew to jump into the sea.

And going merry's send off would be usopps funeral too. As a bonus I would add a cover story every so often of usopp sailing the going merry and picking the spirits of those who have passed on, as he slowly accomplishes his goal of an "8000 man crew".

if any straw hat dies, its going to be brook. after all, hes already dead.

Only Usopp, all the other has dreams that still needs time to fullfill. While Robin should reach her goal at the end, she already have suffered to much running all her life.

Usop. Captain Kuro should've killed him back on his island. The strawhats could have taken the ship and have flashbacks about him now and then.

W7 is also a nice idea. He could've been finger pistoled in the back by some CP9 fodder or slain by a marine officer after he had the luffy vs lucci moment.

I don't care as long as he stays dead and doesn't steal precious panels with his pathetic excuse of existence.

Baratie..... I would rather sanji did not exist. Ther are far too negatives with him being on panel.

Ussop too might have a great moment of standing death in his sogeking pose.... That's th only way tht character won't be forgotten given how trash he is right now.

Usopp probably, since dying seems like the only way he can truly become the brave warrior he wants to be…

That, and his cowardice annoys me.

Unless he gets some serious character development during Elbaf, which he better because that will probably be his only chance. :risitavirus:

Personally I don't want any of them to die, but I think if Oda kills any of them, unfortunately it will probably be Luffy.
He said several times throughout the series that he will be the one to determine the time of his own death. So I suspect by the end of the series Oda might actually fulfill that...
I hope not...
