I think that they are going to fight and they are going to start losing or just straight up lose and then Big Mom is going to leave Kaido alone and she will do something else (maybe kidnap Robin?) and Luffy will stand up again and go 1on1 vs Kaido. Law will use Gamma Knife and Kidd will probably pick that big sword on Onigashima and stab Kaido.... Luffy will finish the job.

Kaido won't go down without defeating them first. BM will deal great damage to him before Kaido starts losing.

I don't count that as being defeated but just as critical moments. Guess this is the original misunderstanding.

Luffy would have already lost but as I said, as long as Zoro is up there, they cannot lose.
He is there to save their asses.
