How about this, since for whatever reason you can't understand the point. Replace Gyuki with the background, pretend he doesn't exist, only a flying sword came to attack Zoro from behind. He still has to dodge/parry/ whatever it is, and that served as a distraction for Killer to land the hit. That flying sword, is what Law can replicate through his spatial manipulation.
