Tbh, since it´s just a oneshot, I don´t think the character choice matters too much. I´m just glad we didn´t go full cringe and focus on Kakashi´s dad or Shisui Uchiha because people liked them in a filler or some shit

We wanted someone detached from the main cast so we could get new lore, new environments, new story beats.

It’s why the Sannin, current gen Shinobi and main characters were being shit on by us while the poll went on.

Make it Root or Akatsuki related and I’d be for it, though Kishi’s writing on Orochimaru hasn’t been good since 2006.
