2nd World One Piece Character Popularity Poll announced!!

To this day I still don't understand why Kaido couldn't simply have defeated Oden because he was simply stronger?
Like if you're going to introduce your villain as the strongest in 1 vs 1 in his freaking introduction chapter, wouldn't it make sense to have his only recorded 1 vs 1 against a top tier to have been a fair win?
Honestly I'd saying making him the strongest in the first place was a weird choice to begin with.

He'd already hyped up WB and Roger as the top two, Kaido's title was questionable from the start because of that.

Should've emphasized him the indestructible one instead, or just let his feats speak for him.

Anyways for Oden it was definitely because of glazing. No way Oda would hype him that much and let him actually lose in a fair fight.

When oda wrote his intro which hyped Kaido a lot , he most likely didn't had the power scaling of old gen planned in comparison to Kaido. There is 2-3 years of gap between his intro and wano arc. By the time he finalized Kaido's position in power scaling , it was incompatible with his intro.

Lowkey same thing happened with WB, started out as #1, then eventually reached a point where he was one among several top tiers of a certain level.

Hopefully Loki's lack of a title means that Oda has learned his lesson to not overhype characters from the start...because atp strongest titles are less meaningful for me.

Even Mihawk for me is relevant due to his bounty and rivalry with Shanks and Zoro rather than his title.
