Character Discussion 3 Things that would Elevate Zoro’s Character

1. More Characters That want to be the strongest swordsman.

There should be a lot of characters after that title, it makes no sense that kuaina and Zoro are the only ones after that title.
There should be a freaking group of skilled swordsman in this series , you mean to tell me Naruto has the 7 Ninja swordsman of the mist but the series that has a worlds strongest swordsman doesn’t have that?

2.Have Zoro seek out and challenge other Swordsman

Zoro should have more fights point blank period, you want to be the strongest you have to fight the strongest, he should’ve challenged Law and so many other characters along the way. Friend or Foe, and Definitely should’ve crossed paths with Vista by now, it makes no sense at this point because 99% of the audience believes Zoro is above Vista.

3. Fight Opponents with Grade Swords:
50 skillful grade 12 supreme and 21 great grade….. there’s 83 of these out there , how many of Zoros opponents had one of these?
1 and it was Mihawk himself….
Atleast half of Zoros opponents by now should have had either a 21 great grade or a skillful grade. And that needs to be emphasized if having a Black Blade truly matters. Zoros opponents need to have graded Swords.

1) Remove "nothing happened" moment
2) Remove him begging to Mihawk moment
3) Remove him from the SH crew

Do these 3 things and he becomes exponentially better character. No need to add anything else

More Characters that want to be Greatest Swordsman? Is this One Piece or what?
Who else beside Luffy have his Secret Dream?
Who else wants to Draw World Map?
Who else wants to find All Blue?
Who else wants to discover All Healing Cure?
... etc

As for Fights, Zoro needs to Improve his Swordsmanship, which involves becoming Physically Stronger, Faster, improving his Haki, Cutting New Stuff ... etc that means Everyone is worth Fighting if They can help Zoro improve, not just Swordsmen. Besides, He did show Interest in Fighting Admiral, Yonko & Gorosei, it's just that those below Admirals such as Law & 99% of Characters They met or could meet are of not worth it.

Black Blade is a Sword being honored by it's Wielder, not the Swordsman using the Sword to Hype themselves, just like Oda called Kaidou's Weapon "Legendary", not because it's a fancy piece of metal, but because it's Wielder was Legendary

I don't know if you have noticed but Wielders of Supreme/Great Grade Swords include guys who are Pirate King, Yonko, Gorosei, Admiral, Sword God ... etc

And everytime Zoro meets One, He clashes with them, not just Mihawk,
He Faced Shusui against Zombie Ryuma, He Faced Fujitora's Sword, He Faced Nusjuro's Sword,
So He is clearly not gonna miss anyone They meet who has Top Meito.

Treat him like he was treated pre-TS, a proper character who wasn't bland and actually had depth and was interesting despite retaining his stoic nature and cool hype

Now he's just a hype machine for end of arc fights cause zoro creates money. His character is a shell of it's former self and extremely mediocre

More competition for the title because that directly impacts his dream/goal and makes it more intense. As of now the only challenge to being WSS is beating Mihawk. Which a big deal, nobody is pretending it’s not.

But that’s like cutting the Yonko out of the race for PK, Luffy would only need to find the poneglyphs.

If Zoro had to reaffirm his dream and beat someone who wanted the same thing even once in Pre-Skip and Post-Skip, I think that would be enough.

People in general zoro stans included have been complaining about that since the timeskip especially post wano

Kuina being alive as a holy knight or something would be dope as hell

• Shimotsuki plot
• Female swordsman
• Another person fighting for the title
• Zoro finally getting a win over her

It’s not like oda hasn’t brought back “dead” characters lol

I think it would’ve been cool if Oda had more creative sword styles in some islands that Zoro would be able to implement into his swordsmanship to show a growth towards him becoming the WSS by using the strongest sword styles throughout the world. Fire fox style was cool, but Oda should’ve done stuff like that throughout the manga.

Had a contribution of 2% in the meme fight

I would enjoy if Zoro fights the previous WSS that Mihawk took the title from, if still alive.

Perhaps Zoro fights a Swordfish Fish-Men that uses 3 Sword Style with their nose. A battle of the superior 3 Sword Style Swordsman. Maybe a woman Fish-Men...

More competition with other swordsmen wanting to become the WSS, with Zoro having some real rivals in the lot.

Make him more prone to show his emotions and more vulnerable side more often. That's why he's more interesting when Tashigi is around because she's the only one to whom he can show them.

Give him some real character development with him becoming more mature and wiser and showing some hidden side, instead of him being dumber and barely more intelligent than Luffy.

Him going to Ryuma's grave during Wano arc, and discovering his origins, as well as more lore on special swords and black blades and how they are made.
