I hope he won't disappoint us with his choice pattern.

I would prefer Orochi over King if Kaido had still to occur next. At least it would be more consistent as a choice from a plot perspective, a cleaner one, and King lends no hype probably.
Is there any narrative connection for a Zoro vs King match, or am I too biased because I ultimately want Zoro and Luffy alone fighting Kaido again. I want them to fight Kaido together mainly to solidify Zoro as the VC.

I want Zoro and Hyori to confront Orochi together because I like the interactions that they have had thus far. Now that Zoro will be healed, will he waste time with Orochi?

Probably none in all honesty. I don't recall specific connections between the two except for Queen mentioning to King how Zoro and Sanji had to be dealt with.

I mean Wano is a long arc, so there's an extremely high chance that I have forgotten details. Even so, King seemed more focus on Sanji than Zoro. Once Marco enter the fray, he became King's opponent. I just prefer if someone other than Zoro fights King.

First of all, thanks for quoting me.

For some reason you decided to change Attempt of Killing to finally killing Arc's Strongest Villain.

With BlackBlades you made a nice ladder for he making one of his own this arc(maybe Wado first than Enma? Would make more sense since Enma is not yet tamed and Wado has been with him longer time than other swords).

We could argue that he fought Kaido 1v1 for a brief moment? Not in my eyes but for Oda's logic could be a possibility.

I could argue that BM is stronger than Kaido, then having a feat against her would make sense too. So far Zoro didn't tried to attack her right? But let's not forget about Tashigi, Monet (also Robin vs Enel at Skypea( and how Zoro rather not hurting Woman(even more killing them). So Kaido makes much more sense.

He already had Kaido respect (it will leave a scar) and the great moment was Hakai.

Just proving once more time that Oda is doing shit if raid will fail. If raid will succeed than Zoro should be the one doing it succeed.

.
I changed "attempt" to "finally" because of the progression between Baratie nerf vs TB nerf.

Zoro wasn't able to touch the Villain in baratie. Then he was able to deeply wound the Villian in TB, but the villain did not go down. Now he will succeed in putting the Villain down.

Now that you explained it just came to my mind how Oda basically made those 2 previous situations only in this arc. He nerfed Zoro(removing Shusui and giving Enma, double nerf) before Zoro even see Kaido. Then he nerfs he again(Hakai, but could be also argued that only by it Zoro was able to use Adv CoC on Kaido) and then Zoro cuts Kaido without making him down.
